HERBAROM
the Colouring Apple Extract

HERBAROM is an aroma and colouring apple extract which is derived from harvest-fresh dejuiced and carefully dried apples. Besides the sugars present in apples such as fructose, glucose and sorbitol, Herbarom also contains the colouring and flavouring components of the apple. Our apple extract has a consistent aroma profile and is standardized to constant colour intensity. Its dark brown colour is mainly influenced by the secondary plant ingredients, such as polyphenols. These substances are known to possess antioxidant properties and to positively influence physiological processes in the body. Furthermore Herbarom is easy to pump, shelf-stable and does not crystallise.

HERBAROM is a well-balanced food suitable for colouring which, due to its natural, fruit- specific characteristics opens up a variety of possible applications. Fruit-specific aroma and colour components as well as the typical acidic note contribute to the rounding off of the flavour profile. The well-balanced sugar profile supports humidity regulation and thus helps to keep food fresh. The labelling as a colouring apple extract also creates a positive, natural image with the consumer. Herbarom is suitable for formulations of products providing a physiologically valuable nutrition profile as well as for use in premium products with special claims of “natural” and “all fruit”.
